Amateurs practice until they get it right.  Professionals practice until they can't get it wrong.

The first few rehearsals are always fun and exciting to see who we have and what the season is going to be like.  Thanks to everyone for putting out such a good effort and working so hard!  We have an increase in beginners and first timers this season, and we're very excited to see what you can accomplish!

For everyone. going forward, please remember to bring your music stands, as there aren't extras at the church and sharing isn't always feasible.  Also, every good musician always has AT LEAST ONE PENCIL.  Be better than that, and have two.  Lastly, please have your music enclosed in a black binder.  This can be via hole punch or in plastic sleeves.  But you shouldn't be shuffling pages or constantly dropping music, it's a major distraction and makes everyone else wait.

Monday, September 26th, we will be reading thru Brahms 1st Movement.  If you are unfamiliar, take some time to listen thru while looking at your part.  Spot check any difficult or unusual sections, and practice ahead of time, or identify any questions you may have in advance.
